2019-04-08
The National Exhibition of Banking Services, Equipment, and Technologies BankExpo 2019 is a large-scale event that brings together commercial and state banks, insurance and leasing organizations of Uzbekistan, as well as for international enterprises that are interested in the local market. Representatives of companies BS/2 and ASHBURN International (Penki Kontinentai Group) will also participate in the event, which will be held April 11-13 in Tashkent.

“Uzbekistan is currently undergoing some reforms to form a market economy, in which the banking sector has a special role. We see that the financial sector of the country is developing rapidly. Banks show great interest in technological solutions and international experience. We hope that BankExpo 2019 will allow representatives of banking and technology areas to bring end-user service to a new level,” says Anton Valinčius, BS/2 Head of Region.

The BS/2 presentation focuses on expanding the functionality of self-service devices. If earlier the ATM was used only for cash withdrawing, now it becomes a full-fledged service point. Multifunctional terminals allow users to make currency exchange, pay various bills and receive the necessary information about banking products in an accessible format. To implement these capabilities, the company’s specialists offer the FCX.iQ and Payments.iQ software products, as well as other solutions for self-service devices.

The program of BankExpo 2019 includes panel discussions “Bank Talks”, created for the experience exchange among financial sector specialists, as well as project presentations for attracting investment or joint business development “Startup-Initiative”. During the conference, Anton Valinčius will make a report “Automated Currency Exchange Points: Experience of Implementation in Uzbekistan”. He will tell about the main challenges during currency exchange implementation.

“Free currency exchange was permitted in Uzbekistan only on September 5, 2017, and the first ATMs with this function appeared in just 4 months. Thanks to our cooperation with Ipak Yuli, the bank plans to deploy a chain of 200 automated currency exchange points by the end of the year. We are grateful that the bank representatives will take part in our presentation and share their experience with the guests of the conference,” says Anton Valinčius.

At the exhibition, ASHBURN International representatives will demonstrate the company’s latest developments in payment technologies and the integration capabilities of the solution TransLink.iQ,which helps banks and processing centers manage and monitor the EFTPOS terminal networks.

For years, BankExpo has been contributing to the banking system reform and liberalization, gradually becoming one of the main banking forums in the Central Asian region.
